Sanjaya Architect is an architectural and interior design studio based in Yogyakarta, Indonesia. Founded by registered architect Ar. Jonathan Sanjaya, IAI, in 2016, the firm's principle is to create designs that consistently consider the local tropical climate to create comfort and harmony with the environment. We believe tropical architecture has its own uniqueness and beauty that can be combined and adapted with other architectural styles to create new beauty.

 

The context within and around a building site is a fundamental consideration in our design. Each site creates unique narratives, which serve as the basis for our design considerations. The uniqueness of each site combined with the client's needs creates an original and unique design that will be unlike any other building.

 

We work beyond simply arranging a space; we explore details that can be perceived and appreciated by the human senses. The details in the design are carefully considered to create a continuous sequence across all aspects. The continuity of detailed elements combined with the appropriate curation of materials creates a beautiful harmony.
